Public Consultation

Misterton Parish Council

Public Meeting

Misterton Methodist Hall

Wednesday 17 January 2007

7.00pm

Whilst there is a great deal of community involvement in Misterton already, the Parish Council wishes to give residents the opportunity for further involvement in the following areas:

  • Neighbourhood Watch

  • Speedwatch

  • A Good Neighbour Scheme

  • A Local Involvement Campaign

Please come along and find out more, and how you might join in if you wish to.

We already have Neighbourhood Watch in Misterton, but it needs extending throughout the village. Speedwatch, of course, is intended to discourage drivers from speeding.

Good neighbour schemes are local voluntary groups which offer a service in their community for those in need of help and support, such as the elderly, disabled, young mothers, and those temporarily in need through illness or isolation within the community.

Our local involvement campaign is intended to give everyone the chance to do their bit in whatever way they think they can – but only if they wish to.

Hazel Brand
Chairman of Misterton Parish Council
